What is a Brassboard Configuration?
Brassboard configuration is experimental model used outside of the laboratory environment (field testing) to determine the feasibility of the product under development. It is used in developing technical and operational data for field testing.
In the technology world, brasshards are circuit boards that have ten conductive layers. A brassboard is a prototype stage done after engineering validation boards (EVB) but before other final prototype stages are carried out. A brassboard is often done after a breadboard, which is an earlier prototype stage.
