What is Trade Marketing? 

Trade marketing is marketing by manufacturers directed at any intermediates (wholesalers, distributors and retailers). The objective is entice these intermediaries to position and actively promote their products and services in a positive manner. 

What is the Trade Marketing Mix? 

The Trade Marketing Mix is made up of the same elements as are present in the general Marketing Mix. The difference is that the factors relate to or focus on increasing the demand at wholesaler, distributor, and retailer level rather than at the end-user level.

What are Examples of Trade Marketing?

Examples of trade marketing include any marketing activities targeting supply chain intermediaries. This might include trade advertising, trade incentive programs, personal selling, wholesale pricing, payment options, return services, special display allowances, promotional support, and merchandising.
